A bit about Just Floor-It owner, Marc Orchyk.

Since he was young, Marc has been an athelete - a sports enthusiast through and through. Whether he's participating or merely being a spectator, Marc loves the thrill of the game.

At an early age, he took to the 'slopes' near Winnipeg, Manitoba, where he was born and raised. He and his older brother were both heavily involved with downhill skiing, Marc as a participant on a provincial ski team, as well as coaching a Nancy Greene ski team.

In the off-seasons, when he couldn't be sliding down the slopes, Marc could be found on his mountain bike or playing a round on the links.

Like most prairie skiers, Marc re-located to the Rocky Mountains surrounding Lake Louise, Alberta in 1997.

Three years later, and Marc continued his westward journey, spending a short time in Canmore, Alberta, and eventually making a home for himself in Golden, B.C.

It was in Golden that Marc began working alongside Journeyman floor installer Andy Deutsch, and discovered a new passion.

But the time in Golden was not all work and no play. This adrenaline seeker took to the steeps of the Purcell and Rocky Mountain ranges, on his bike and of course his skis.

After nearly a decade of living the 'Golden life,' Marc chose to move further west - and south - to the rolling Selkirk mountains, surrounding Nelson, B.C., where he currently lives, works and plays.
